About Us
We are a small hobby breeder of purebred AKC English and French Bulldogs. We are located in Florence, KY about 15 miles from Cincinnati, OH. We breed for health, confirmation and breed standard. We are not a kennel, puppy mill, scam or internet store. All of our puppies are bred and raised in our home.
Besides our Bullies the Lord has blessed us with three wonderful children. I am a stay at home mom, raising bullies in my free time (LOL) and my amazing husband stays busy in the IT field. Our oldest, Ben, is in first grade; our middle child, Grace, has entered the great world of Kindergarten; and Lilly, who just turned two, takes advantage of being the youngest and getting away with everything. Between our Bullies and our Babies life stays busy and exciting. There is never a dull moment!
If you have never owned a Bulldog we recommend you research the breed before you purchase. Bulldogs are considered a high maintenance breed for many reasons- just do your research. We would have no other dog and I am sure once you own one you will feel the same! If you have any questions regarding our Bullies or our Stud Services please call or email. We look forward to helping your family find your new forever friend.
Puppies
All of our puppies are raised in our home and you can rest assured that our three children see to it that your puppy will come home well cared for and socialized. Your new Bully will come home up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, vet checked, AKC registered, and with a health guarantee.
Check out our Available Pups page for photos, information and pricing on individual pups. We often get request for less expensive puppies and in order to help those families looking for a more affordable Bully we are starting tiered pricing- details are on the puppies page.

Puppy Care Information
Congratulations on your new Bully. Here are a few tips and reminders that we have picked up over the years that may come in handy as your family gets acclimated with your new friend.
Potty Training:
One question that is always asked is How easy are they to Potty Train? The good news is that they have to be one of the easiest breeds to house break. The bad news is it depends on the individual puppy and you are certain to have accidents. The best cleaner we have found for those accidents is the NuVet Organic Pet Stain & Odor Remover. Here is the simplest way we have discovered to potty train/ kennel train your new Bully. Start by letting your new puppy out every two hours during the day and every four hours at night. You can increase the time each week. If they are having accidents you will need to decrease the time between breaks. You will also want to let your little one out to go potty as soon as you get him/her out of their cage. (Do not let them run and play until they have been outside for a potty break) Take your puppy for a potty break after every feeding. Make sure you allow your puppy at least 5-10 minutes outside. Some puppies take longer to go potty, especially if they are busy playing. You will also discover that they will go multiple times. It is better to spend a few more minutes outside then to clean up a mess inside. Take your puppy out if they start sniffing or running around in circles like they are trying to find a place to go. Make sure you praise your little Bully when they go potty outside. If you do not have a fenced yard make sure your little one is on a leash and harness whenever he/she is out of the house.
Leash/ Collar:
ONLY USE A HARNESS (do not use a regular collar that goes around the neck) English Bulldogs are known for their high tolerance of pain and will literally pull until they choke themselves. I know of a Bully who choked herself so bad she ended up in the emergency vet for several days for damage to her trachea and fluid in her lungs. Just be safe never use tie outs and never place a Bully in a choke collar or regular collar- a harness is the only way to go with a Bully!
Kennel/Cage:
It is better to have a smaller cage for your Bully when they are a puppy. If you start out with a large crate your puppy will be more likely to have accidents. To save from having to purchase two cages some of the larger cages have a partition wall. When first starting to potty train, your puppy should be in his cage whenever he is not spending one on one time with you, eating, or outside. NEVER LEAVE YOUR PUPPY OUT UNATTENDED!! Puppies are curious and in a few moments they can get into a lot of trouble. I know of puppies that have died from chewing on an electric cord, finding poison, and chewing up a plastic bag- they will find something so NEVER leave your puppy out. After your little one masters potty training your can get a play yard that attaches to your kennel so your Bully will have room to play and be safe when you are not with him. (These are great for homes where a Bully has to be left for several hours) If a play yard is something your family needs make sure you check to see if your cage is compatible before you make a purchase.
Chew Toys/Snacks:
NEVER USE RAWHIDES OR PIGS EARS!! After a costly emergency visit we learned this the hard way. English Bulldogs are known for not chewing their food- rather they like to swallow things whole. A rawhide that would take the normal puppy weeks to gnaw away at can be chewed up and swallowed in a matter of hours by a Bully. They do not chew them up and the larges pieces will get stuck in the intestines. Watch your Bully with any chew toys; they can easily destroys plastic squeak toys and they will eat the plastic. Your puppy will need plenty of chew toys but just watch them to see how they are doing with them. It is better to spend a few extra dollars on the well made heavy plastic toys than the cheap thin plastic toys (these will last a few hours)
DO NOT PLAY TUG A WAR!! As tempting as it may be do not play tug a war or any games that stretch the skin on the face or shake the face roughly. The third eye lid is not secure until after 12 months of age and the rough jostling of tug a war can cause cherry eye.
Food/Water:
We recommend Royal Canin Puppy Medium and NuVet Plus Vitamins until one year of age. After a year of age we recommend the Royal Canin Bulldog and NuVet Vitamins. Between the ages of 6 weeks and 12 weeks your puppy will need to be fed 3 to 4 times a day. Your puppy can not handle one large meal; it is too hard on their digestive system. It will cause blood in their stool or cause low blood sugar; which can be fatal. After 12 weeks you can gradually decrease the number of feedings to three and by six months two feedings. For the first couple weeks you will want to supervise your Bully while he/she eats. We start our Bullies on NuVet Plus Powder vitamins at 3 weeks old. To order a supply of NuVet Vitamins for your Bully please call 1-800-474-7044 and use order code #70219 or you can order online by visiting my NuVet Vitamins page on my website- sign up for auto ship and save 15%. I really do like the Royal Canin Food, however, we have found that not all of our Bullies do good on this food. If you see excessive tear staining, skin irritations, or if your Bully begins to scratch the first thing to do is switch foods. We also use Eukanuba.
Bathing/Wrinkle Care:
When bathing your puppy make sure to use a shampoo that is easy on the skin with the least amount of chemicals. English Bulldogs have sensitive skin and we highly recommend NuVet puppy and kitten shampoo- it does not contain harsh chemicals and is wonderful for your new bully's sensitive skin. We bathe from the neck down and then use a wet rag on the face and ears. Keep in mind you do not want to get water in their nose, eyes, or ears. We bathe our Bullies every ten days or whenever they get excessively dirty. Bathing too much will dry out their skin. As they get older you could bathe every two to three weeks and use pet wipes for in between maintenance. You will want to clean out your Bullys ears every time you bathe him/her. We recommend NuVet Therapeutic Ear Treatment. This ear cleanser is wonderful for regular cleaning and is great for treating any nasty ear build up or infections. English Bulldogs are considered high maintenance because of their wrinkle care. You should wipe your Bullys wrinkles out every night with a wet wipe or puppy wipe and then use a dry towel to wipe out any moisture. A Bulldogs wrinkles will stain but wiping them daily will help from building up yeast and grim between the layers of skin. Your NuVet Vitamins do an awesome job preventing tear staining- just remember once your Bully's face is tear stained you do not want to use any of the stain removers- these are very harsh on their skin. To help avoid tear staining wipe your Bully's wrinkles and use your NuVet vitamins daily.
Housing:
English Bulldogs will over heat easily. Never leave a Bully outside for long periods of time and always make sure they have plenty of fresh water. If your Bully is breathing heavy or straining to breath pour a tsp. of lemon juice in their mouth. The acid in the lemon juice will break up saliva and make it easier for your Bully to breathe. If our Bullies get over excited and are panting heavily, they often will not drink their water so I give them a few ice cubes- something about ice cubes they can't refuse. English Bulldogs are to be inside dogs and need air conditioning. Never leave your Bully in a car or outside in the heat.
Vaccinations:
One of the most important things you can do for your Bully is to make sure he/she is vaccinated. You must provide proof of on time vaccinations and heartworm treatment for your puppy contract and health guarantee to be valid. Your vet will provide you with their recommended vaccinations and heart worm preventative schedule. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PUPPY ANYWHERE UNTIL HE/SHE IS FULLY VACCINATED! It is very tempting to take your ball of wrinkles in to the pet store or dog park to show them off but DONT. Your Bully should be at least 6 months of age and fully vaccinated before socializing with other animals; if you have other pets make sure all of them are up to date on vaccinations and wormings. Many people do not vaccinate their pets so keep your Bully healthy and just stay away from dog parks and pet stores. When we take our Bullies to the vet I keep them in a crate and up off the floor to make sure they do not come in contact with other sick pets or diseases. Fleas and Ticks carry many diseases that are harmful for your new Bully- we use and recommend Frontline Plus (you can order from NuVet and save money)
Bringing Your Bully Home:
If you have other pets you will need to supervise the introduction of the new puppy. Never leave your puppy with another animal unattended (even if they seem to be getting along) accidents can happen quickly and you can not predict animal instinct or behavior. All animals need to be up to date on vaccines and in good health before introducing a new puppy to the family!
Coming home can be stressful on a little puppy. The stress of leaving mom, leaving litter mates and a new environment can cause a puppy to not eat, get diarrhea or act depressed. If this happens continue to offer your puppy food and water. If your puppy goes more than 12 hours without food or water call your Vet. A puppy can get dehydrated in a couple hours. If your bully has loose stools you can add plain cottage cheese or a mixture of goats milk and baby rice cereal (make this a thick chunky mixture- never use regular milk) to your bullys regular dog food for a day or two- if the loose stools continue for more than two days call your vet.
Health:
If for any reason you think your Bully is sick contact your vet. What may seem as the sniffles can turn into pneumonia in a couple days so be preventative and call at the first signs of illness. It is important to find a vet that is familiar with the English Bulldog breed; this can be a task so call around and ask them how many bullies they see and treat.
And as always if you have any questions please call. We love to get updates about our Bullies so please send pictures we look forward to hearing from you!!

You can have your new bully microchipped for $25. Please let us know before you pick up your bully if you want him/her to have a microchip implant.
The microchip is the BEST way to prove the identity of a pet...and to get your Bully home fast if he/she is ever lost. Over 20 million pets are lost every year.
Have peace of mind knowing that your new bully has been microchipped. Microchip protection almost guarantees that your new Bully will not be euthanized or put up for adoption if he is taken into a shelter. Vets scan new patients for microchips so if your Bully is stolen and shows up at a Vet he will be scanned and can find his way home to you.
A microchip is NO good if it is not registered! Make sure you register your new Bully today!!
Your new Bully will come to you already fitted with a tiny harmless microchip that will stay safely in place for life. The micro chip is smaller than a grain of rice and the placement of the microchip hurts no more than a normal vaccination. Microchips offer protection from loss, theft or separation due to natural or personal disaster. The microchip number is unique and belongs only to your puppy. When you register your new Bully with the microchip activation center your contact information and vet information will be registered with your puppy's unique identification number. Raising a Litter of Bullies
Raising Bullies takes a substantial amount of time, money, and work. Long before the litter arrives the process begins. When the mother comes into heat we begin blood progesterone testing to determine her day of ovulation. These tests are repeated until she ovulates. When the female is ready, the sperm is collected from the male and the female is artificially or surgically implanted. The female is kept on a strict diet and supplement regiment to ensure her health and the health of the litter.
We wait. As we approach the 63 days we must keep a close eye on mom to make sure she is not under too much stress. A couple days before her due date we make sure she has someone with her 24 hours a day. We start checking her rectal temperature and cervix for dilation. Her temperature has dropped to 98.5, her cervix is completely open, and she will not eat her boiled chicken and rice. We call the Vet and load up for her C-Section. I find myself each time sitting in the car praying for my baby. I pray for her safety, I pray she will make it through the surgery, and I pray that everything will go good. After I give her a few more kises and back scratches they take her back to get ready for the surgery. When she is under and they are ready to open her up they come and get me to help with the pups.
The C-Section is quite an experience. If you are interested in seeing one search for Bulldog C-Section on U-Tube, there are several informative videos.
Your new Bully is raised in our Living room and when we arrive home the pups are placed in a Baby Incubator which will control temperature and humidity. The pups are kept in this controlled environment for the first 2-3 weeks except to nurse. This prevents respiratory infections and keeps our pups healthy. A new litter requires a lot of work. Our schedule looks something like this:
1:00- 1:15 restroom break for mom, clean moms stitches, wash mom off (she will be passing a lot of blood), lay mom down
1:15-2:00 nursing puppies
2:00-2:30 supplement/ tube feed any puppies that are not full
2:30-3:00- use wet cotton balls to get each puppy to poop and pee and put Destin on each pups bottom to keep them from getting raw- this takes about 5 minutes per pup (we hope after a couple days the mom will begin to do this job)
3:00-3:15 get mom settled with a bowl of chicken broth and pups settled in the incubator
3:15- 3:30 gather all reusable puddle pads and start the load of laundry
3:30-4:30 sleep
4:30- time to start feeding schedule over
The two hour feeding schedule is repeated 24 hours a day for the first week and gradually increased to a 3 hour feeding schedule for the second week. This schedule is followed until the pups are old enough to be left with their mother, generally around 2 ½ to 3 weeks. Our Bully Mom usually does a good job keeping the baby Bullies clean. Most iltter have to be supplemented and typically by this time your Bully is on a mixture of chicken baby food, goats milk, yogurt and rice cereal and is eating from an infant food feeder.
Typically by 4 weeks Moms milk is dried up and the pups are ready to start the weaning process. We typically have our pups weaned by 5 weeks and ready for their new homes at 7 weeks of age.
Well, that is not everything but it gives you an idea of the first few weeks of your new little Bully's life- it takes a lot to raise a healthy Bulldog - they are truly a man made dog. They can not mate on their own, they can not deliver on their own, and they can not raise their puppies on their own. We take the care and health of our baby Bullies seriously.
